Biography :

Wouter Stips (30-03-1944) lives and works near Amsterdam; he studied graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam and went on to work in various visual media and forms of applied art. He has contributed to television programs, designed records covers and stage sets, given lectures and published various books and comics. In 1995, he returned to his first love: painting. “I paint the dreams I’d like to dream; landscapes and scenes where man and beast meet and play, with no restrictions whatsoever. Anything should be possible in my paintings; as in the mind of a child. He is also actively contributing to the development of education in Indonesia through exhibitions and donations.
